Being in Gdynia
Gdynia will celebrate its 80th Anniversary in 2006 ! This 80 year old city is comparatively very young. Gdansk has been around for 1000 years next to its younger sister Gdynia. Here you can experience the oldest and youngest histories in Europe (Gdansk is only 20km from Gdynia !)
In Gdynia apart from the large business projects there is a large and dynamic drive towards learning and cultural development in the lives of young Poles. As our guests and participants in the 20th ECS conference you will get to know our nation better than on any holiday trip !
Every September Gdynia turns into the Polish Cannes for a couple of days when it hosts the Polish Feature Film Festival. Visit Gdynia website (www.gdynia.pl) where you can read more about the history and attractions of the City.
When you arrive Spring will be upon us providing you with the possibility of seeing Mother Nature awaking from its winter slumber and what we Polish get up to.
Among some of the attractions available to you will be the sandy beaches of the southern Baltic with the sea in this area being the largest container of brackish waters in the world all available for your swimming pleasure.
