Being in Gdynia Gdynia will celebrate its 80th Anniversary in 2006 ! This 80 year old city is comparatively very young. Gdansk has been around for 1000 years next to its younger sister Gdynia. Here you can experience the oldest and youngest histories in Europe (Gdansk is only 20km from Gdynia !) In Gdynia apart from the large business projects there is a large and dynamic drive towards learning and cultural development in the lives of young Poles. Every September Gdynia turns into the Polish Cannes for a couple of days when it hosts the Polish Feature Film Festival.
