Workshops associated to the 20th Annual ECS Conference in Gdynia ECS STUDENT WORKSHOP 2006 : Photo-ID This year's ECS student workshop will be organised in combination with the Europhlukes workshop on the morning of Sunday April 2nd. It will be centred around the basics of photo-identification and the role of the Europhlukes project among European researchers. Register by e-mail me at cristinabeans@yahoo.com Programme: 9h-10h20: Talks by Peter Evans (on the background to Europhlukes), Simone Panigada (on the basics of photo-ID) and Phil Hammond (on analytical issues) followed by a discussion period. From 10h30 to 12h: Attending students who wish to can remain for the first half of the Europhlukes workshop dedicated to demonstrating the software used by the group for photo-ID matching (see conference web-page for Europhlukes workshop) for a discounted participation fee (5 euros) |
